About the Event
Lymphedema is chronic swelling that occurs due to a failure of the lymphatic system to remove fluid from the tissues. There are many reasons why this occurs, but breast cancer-related lymphedema is the most widely known cause. This webinar will discuss how the lymphatic system works and what can cause lymphedema. Your modurator will discuss risk reduction strategies, how to recognize a problem and give you exercise, skin care and self-monitoring tips. All participants will receive a self-measurement chart upon completion of the event.
